The 2020 Genesis G70 demands attention everywhere it goes.
Luxurious, poised, confident, is a full size four-door luxury sedan that knows how to make an entrance, thanks to its huge grille, sexy eyes (headlights), and impeccable, well thought design all around.
Being the big car that it is, the 2020 Genesis G70 can be used as a family car, a well built,
gorgeous vehicle for the daily commute or long road trips to grandpa’s house.
Also, I see it as a luxurious option for companies, either as a transport for executives or for daily commutes and carpooling. That is how multi-faceted this gorgeous piece of machinery is.
Under the hood
There are three different trims available for this car: 2.0T, 2.0T six-speed manual and 3.3T.
It also should be noted that you can choose between two engines, and that you can equip it with rear or all-wheel drive if you decide to have it with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
By the way, it also should be noted that the second version available, the 2.0T six-speed manual is only available with rear-wheel drive.
Besides the trims, there are also four options packages at our disposition: Standard, Elite, Prestige and Sport.
Under its hood, the first trim has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine, that reaches 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
The second trim has the same engine, but instead an eight speed automatic transmission, it offers a six-speed manual.
The last trim has a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine that reaches 365 hp and 376 lb-ft.
Fuel economy varies, depending on the engine, but in average, is estimated at 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg in the highway.
Regarding equipment, the 2.0T trim offers selectable drive modes, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning.
If you equip it with the Elite package, you get LED headlights, a park-distance warning and other accessories.
The Prestige level adds a head-up display, wireless device charging and 19-inch wheels.
At last, but not least, the Sport trim gets all the goodies from the Prestige trim, but also adds amenities such as summer tires and upgraded brakes.
The 2.0T six-speed manual trim gets equipment such as 19-inch wheels with summer tires, a sport exhaust system and Brembo brakes.
Finally, the last trim, the 3.3T trim gets pretty much the same accessories that we have seen before, with a few distinctions across the board, such as navigation, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and more (depending on the package)
