2018 BMW X3
As time goes on, the Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs), are becoming a need i today’s world. They are useful for families, for those long road trips with the kids; they are useful in companies, for employee and executive rides; they are useful for singles and young people, for a beach day or a night out that includes all our friends.
There are a bunch of SUVs on the market. And then, there is the 2018 BMW X3.
The 2018 BMW X3, a five-passenger crossover SUV, does not only provide us with the space that we need and that we have come to expect from this kind of vehicles, but also offers us the style, elegance, luxury and flair from the German carmaker.
Power and fuel efficiency
The 2018 BMW X3 is offered in two trims: xDrive30i and M40i. For this review, I had the opportunity to drive the latter.
Under the hood of the M40i we find a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that offers 355 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque; with a fuel economy of 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. And just like the xDrive30i (the base trim), the M40i has an eight speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Features and devices
Accessory wise, from the base trim, we get power-folding, auto-dimming and heated mirrors, 18-inch wheels, a power tailgate, LED headlights and fog lights, roof rails, automatic wipers, a rearview camera, a 12-speaker audio system, tri-zone automatic climate control, driver-seat memory settings, keyless ignition and much more.
If you decide to get the M40i, you’ll also get rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, adaptive LED headlights, a sport exhaust, a sport-tuned suspension and more.
Any of the trims can be upgraded with a variety of packages.
One example is the Driving Assistance package, that gets you forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and other driving aids.
There’s also a Parking Assistance package, with front and rear parking sensors, an automated parking system and a 360-degree parking camera.
The Premium Package and the Executive Package give you traits such as 19 inch wheels, heated front seats, a navigation system, adaptive LED headlights, leather upholstery and more.

Ride and interior
This beauty offers a trustworthy, solid and smooth drive. You’ll enjoy it across the streets, but if you take it to the highway, this is where the 2018 BMW X3 really shines.
It has enough power to get where you need safely, with precise, exact brakes that will respond as you need them.
It has a very comfortable cabin. It gives you space and order: Both traits that are just another day at the office for BMW. Also, as usual, elegance and luxury are in every corner.
With its trustworthy engine, roomy and luxurious cabin, good fuel economy and accurate and precise brakes, the 2018 BMW X3 is one of the best, if not the best, decision for those looking for a luxury SUV.
