Italian automaker Lamborghini has changed the game with the new Huracán LP 610-4. Successor to the highly successful Gallardo, which with over 14,022 units produced, makes it arguably the most successful Lamborghini model ever made, this new Supercar is a blend of style and technical excellence. The Huracán is expected to make waves in the supercar realm due to its unmatched performance, technical innovation, and styling. In true Lamborghini tradition, the Huracán takes its name from the world of bullfighting: Huracán was a fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed who fought in August 1879 in Alicante. His unyielding character made him invincible.
After its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March, The Huracán had already garnered more than 1500 orders from all over the world. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said: “With the Huracán, Lamborghini is writing the next chapter in its great history.”
The Huracán LP 610-4 is pure and absolute design. Its breathtaking dynamics and excellent quality give the Huracán an unparalleled sports car experience. With a hybrid Aluminium/Carbon Fiber frame, and outer skin made from Aluminum and composite material, the strong contours of the vehicle are aerodynamically designed to fend the air and tame the road. The transparent engine bonnet and forged composite engine bay, allows a clear view of the roaring, naturally aspirated engine.
Coupled with a low body weight, the second you press the ignition button you will feel how Lamborghini continues to push the boundaries of automobile performance. The new long-stroke engine is a masterpiece, featuring direct fuel injection and multipoint injection, selectively sequenced in order to gain advantages from both systems. The behavior of the engine is overwhelmingly sporty with nearly 70% of its maximum torque at 1000RPMs. The all-wheel drive 4WD with electrohydraulic multi-plate 7-speed clutch is specifically tuned by Lamborghini for performance. The gear change strategy is electronically controlled based on the performance dynamics of the vehicle and selected mode. All in all the V10 90°, 40 valve engine helps to propel this vehicle to a top speed of roughly 202mph, or from 0-62mph in 3.2seconds.
The new Huracán LP 610-4 is also available with a slew of cutting edge accessories. The satellite anti-theft system from Accessori Originali is completely integrated into the Huracán ensuring that it wont interfere with the on-board electrical system. Its secure, reliable, tracking system remotely prevents the engine from starting in case of theft. Finally, the interior is nothing short of exquisite. Upholster from fine, nappa leather, depending on the design options you will see additional Alcantara Detailing. The cockpit was designed starting from the driver, with form following function, even including a thin bridge center console with mobile phone holder.
There is nothing from the past that rivals the technology of the new Huracán, which comes together in the perfect car that seems straight out of the future. This vehicle is sure to turn heads, and take its rightful place on the pantheon of supercar history.
