2018 INFINITI Q60
Successor to the Infiniti G coupe and convertible, the Infiniti Q60 offers sport flair mixed with luxury, for those who are in search of a good looking coupe that also has that passionate omph to take the highways.
For the 2018 Infiniti Q60, we have five trims to choose from: 2.0t Pure, 2.0t Luxe, 3.0t Luxe, 3.0t Sport and Red Sport 400.
Although pretty much all of them are very well equipped, you just cannot go wrong by choosing the Red Sport 400 trim, the one that will deliver the thrills and chills of having more horse power and more high performance oriented accessories.
Regarding its interior, you’ll find plenty of space in the front seats, but -as usual in the sports car segment- the back seats are very limited space wise.
Shoot to Thrill
As those Australian philosophers called AC/DC suggested, the 2018 Infiniti Q60 engine in its Red Sport 400 trim, shoots (and hits) to thrill.
Under its hood, you will find a powerful 3.0-liter V6 engine, that is able to deliver 400 hp of pure power and 350 lb-ft of torque.
This change is specially dramatic and exciting if we consider that the base trim, the 2.0t Pure, has a four cylinder engine that only offers 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
It should be noted that all Q60 versions are equipped with a seven speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive (with all-wheel drive being optional).
Also, just so you consider this factor, the V6 fuel economy is estimated at 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 mpgs in the highway, according to the Enviromental Protection Agency.
As I have been saying, you just cannot go wrong with the Red Sport 400 trim, and this is also worth noting features wise.
This trim has summer tires, mounted on 20 inch wheels, something that makes this beauty an ideal car for rides across sun kissed roads -as it is the case with Florida.
It also offers us auto-dimming outside mirrors, leather upholstery, power-adjustable steering wheel, driver seat memory functions, auto-dimming outside mirrors, heated front seats, navigation system, a six speaker sound system with CD player and satellite radio and much more.
On the road
Again, the Red Sport 400’s engine just stands out. You’ll have enough power to ‘devour’ the highway with its 400 hp, switching lanes, passing other cars and just enjoying the road.
This is the engine, the trim, to choose to ‘squeeze’ the 2018 Infiniti Q60. This is the engine that will give you the excitingness, thrills, and passion that one has to expect from a sports car.
With this engine, the 2018 Infiniti Q60 can go toe to toe without breaking a sweat against cars such as the BMW 4 Series or the Cadillac ATS Coupe.
On the downside of things, as I said before, don’t expect plenty of space for the backseats. Same goes for the trunk.
If you are looking for luxury AND power, look no more, my friend.
There are high class cars that could be unbalanced -offering beauty and no omph under the hood or vice versa- but here, we find equilibrium.
The 2018 Infiniti Q60 is a car to show off, speed-wise and aesthetic-wise. A beauty that demands to be seen, that demands to turn heads, with ‘a soul’ eager to take and burn any road that comes before it.
